Welcome back from Spring Break everyone! People spent this time in quite a variety of ways, but even if you stayed here on Bainbridge Island, you got to see a little sun- a seriously good thing. For some this time was relaxing and light-hearted. For others, it meant more work at home as you scrambled to find fun projects for your busy little ones. Whatever the case, the kids are now back at school (phew!), and we are swinging straight into a new season that brings hope and promise. We’d like to think that this coming meeting will offer one more bit of down-time to each of our lives as we re-enter the usual routines.
A Morning of Simplicity and Reflection
The next meeting of Mom’s Morning Retreat is an Activity Day. We’ve structured this year’s program a lot like an actual retreat, with time for big discussions, small discussions, and laughter. This day will involve some rare personal time. We will begin with a short discussion with Bev, and then the morning will find us enjoying some quiet space, with room to breathe. Together we’ll revisit the big question that we started examining last time- what blocks us from loving ourselves? Then we’ll each be invited to see where that takes us, including putting some things down on paper – just for ourselves – about what we’ve learned this year.
Please come dressed comfortably- this is a time for you. Unless it’s stormy, we’ll even go outside for a bit. We’ll practice opening our hearts and experiencing joy.
This next meeting, the Orange Group will do set-up, clean-up, and provide food. One of your group members will contact you soon via email with details. Set-up starts at 8:45.
During the month of April, your kids will enjoy the theme “bugs” in the Children’s Program- a topic guaranteed to bring giggles and curiosity.
Save the Date!- April 21, 7:00 PM
Mom’s Morning Retreat Social Night
Let’s hang out. Chill. Be real. If you can manage to put your kiddos to bed and slip out, you’re invited to come over to Gray Hattrup’s house for a purely social evening. Bring your favorite supermarket magazines, and we’ll pretend we’re in a beauty shop and sitting under hoods. No need to dress up. Come as you are. More info to follow.
