Our next Mom’s Morning Retreat meeting is this Thursday, November 3rd, 9:30am at Grace Episcopal Church.
This week we’ll discuss cultivating authenicity and letting go of what other people think. Authenicity is not a static location or a precise goal to reach, but a practice of consciously choosing each day how we want to live. This process of tapping into our true core will require us to consider the ways we have evolved into what other people needed us to be or into who we thought we ought to be in order to be loved and accepted. We hope you’ll join in the discussion.

Mom’s Morning Retreat Social Night
Looking for a volunteer to host a social night in November!
Let’s hang out. Chill. Be real. If you would like to make your home available for a small gathering of moms in November, the steering committee will help with some simple food and beverages. This is an opportunity for us moms to sneak out after the kids are in bed and to get to know one another better. If you can host, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or talk to Carrie, Jenny or Amy at our next meeting. We would just need a home that’s easy to find, plus some parking space. You choose the weeknight that works best for you. Stay tuned for more details!
Any Fleece Hoarders Out There?
Our upcoming group activity will be making fleece blankets for foster kids, so we are putting the call out in case anyone may have extra pieces of fleece material they could offer. Clear some space in your house for a worthy cause! If you have some fleece, please contact Cheryl at email@example.com.
Odds and Ends
We’d also like to give a big shout out and say thank you! to everyone who provided meals last month. It’s a simple thing but truly appreciated by all who receive the gift!
Don’t forget! To save time, you can print out the Mom’s Morning Retreat Registration Form 2011 and Children’s Programming Registration Form 2011 at home, so that you can bring your completed information to the meeting.
