Thanksgiving Week News

Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.

Blanket Making Success!

At our last meeting, we made a lovely array of fleece blankets to be given to kids coming into foster care in Kitsap County. Thank you to all who participated!

We enjoyed great company and conversation, and a pile of soft, cozy blankets mounted up quickly!

The blankets were blessed at Grace on Sunday.

Steering Committee News

The Steering Committe extends heartfelt gratitude to Michelle Anderson for her many contributions as Chair of MMR. Michelle has stepped down due to her enrollment in graduate school, and we wish her the very best as she continues with her studies.

Wendy Wallace and Shawna Paulson will Co-Chair, and Anna McClain (that’s me) steps into the Communications role.

Thinking of joining Steering and interested in something that doesn’t require taking on a weekly duty?  As Activities Coordinator, you’d plan and implement three activities per year. We have two more this year–blankets were the first!  Let us know if it sounds like your thing!

Mom’s Movie Night Out!

Plan to take a self-imposed time out to relax and enjoy a movie at Bainbridge Cinemas this Tuesday, November 27. We plan to meet at about 7 pm–so stay tuned to Facebook for details about the movie selection process and specific movie time!

…and most of all have a Happy (and mindful) Thanksgiving!

Reminder: Next Meeting is December 6–See You Then!
