Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. — Melody Beattie
Gratitude and Loving the Life You Have
This year at each meeting we have explored different aspects of what it is to love our lives, what gets in the way, and what practices help us grow in our ability to love the rich and varied nature of our experience just as it is.
Join us tomorrow as we focus on gratitude: a feeling as well as an attitude or mindset.
Robert Emmons, the world’s most prominent researcher and writer on the topic of gratitude, defines it as “a felt sense of wonder, thankfulness and appreciation for life.”
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow as we open to and practice gratitude together.
Thinking about Joining Mom’s Morning Retreat Steering Committee?
Mom’s Morning Retreat is brought to you by a wonderful group of talented women who are fortunate to work with the amazing Bev Gaines to plan all aspects of the year’s programming.
Steering is a great way to become even more involved with Mom’s Morning Retreat while having fun, sharing in meaningful projects and getting to know one another better.
We still have room for a couple more members on Steering starting this summer. Discover how your talents might be a great fit as we plan next fall’s program–talk to Bev or Carrie!
