Reflecting on This Year’s Journey: “Loving The Life You Have”: Tomorrow, May 20th, 9:30 a.m.

Reflections on This Year’s Journey: Tomorrow, 9:30 a.m. at Mom’s Morning Retreat

We know May is a busy time of year for many a mom!

And yet, talking a little time for yourself to replenish can work wonders!

We invite you to come relax and enjoy a cup of coffee with friends tomorrow morning as we look back on the journey we’ve taken together this year.

Last fall, Bev asked, “What do you need more of to help you love your life?” and the question got us talking about  what holds us back–from perfectionism to conflict, exhaustion. health issues, anxiety and grief.

Bev then talked about “minding the gap”–that space of disconnection between the platform and the railroad car; that place in our lives where we need to align with our own values in order to claim fulfillment.

We wondered together, how indeed can we can live in a way that is in alignment with our values: minding the gap between someone else’s expectations for us and our own authentic values?

Through the year, we’ve talked about ways to increase our sense of peacefulness and well-being and Bev has guided us in practices around mindfulness, gratitude, the latest in happiness research as well as forgiveness and emotional intelligence.

Tomorrow, take time for you–come join us for coffee and conversation as we reflect together on this year’s journey–with deepest gratitude.

Fill Out A Survey: Help Us Plan For Next Year!

Please take a few minutes to fill out a survey at tomorrow’s meeting. What worked for you this year? What would you like to see more of/less of? We read surveys carefully and incorporate the feedback when planning for the next year.

Thinking about Joining Mom’s Morning Retreat Steering Committee?

We’re excited to have several new members coming onto Steering this summer, stay tuned for that announcement! Steering is still ISO someone who enjoys running a budget. (We’ll miss you, Lori!)  If this is you, please talk with Carrie or Bev for more information. Steering is a great way to become even more involved with Mom’s Morning Retreat while having fun, sharing in meaningful projects and getting to know one another better.
